If you are planning on taking a journey from England to New York or the other way around, then there is only one way to do it in style, by coming aboard the super luxurious RMS Queen Mary 2. RMS Queen Mary 2 is the first liner to be built since Queen Elisabeth II 35 years earlier. RMS Queen Mary 2 entered service in January 2004 and is the largest, longest, widest, tallest and most expensive passenger line in history. It even surpasses the RMS Titanic in terms of all sizes. Unlike the Titanic, RMS Queen Mary 2 is much safer. There are many things you can do on this wonderful ship, aside from admiring the breathtaking view at sunset or sunrise.

RMS Queen Mary 2 was intended primarily to cross the Atlantic Ocean, and was therefore designed differently from many other passenger ships. The costs for building it were extremely high, due to the size of the RMS Queen Mary 2 and her unique design. Having been designed as an ocean liner, it required 40% more steel than a standard cruise ship. The RMS Queen Mary 2 has a wide range of facilities that include fifteen restaurants and bars, five swimming pools, a casino, a ballroom, a theater, and the first ever planetarium at sea. There are also kennels on board, so if you want to take your dog with you, you can easily do that. Just like the Titanic, RMS Queen Mary 2 set sail on its maiden voyage from Southampton, carrying 2.620 passengers under the command of captain Ronald Warwick.

When designing RMS Queen Mary 2, the designers aimed to reduce the impact of the ship on the environment, by improving fuel efficiency, and through better management of waste. This was done not only to reduce costs, but also to increase the service life of the ship, as it was predicted that tighter environmental regulations would be implemented while RMS Queen Mary 2 was in service. Choosing to go on a cruise on the RMS Queen Mary 2 is the best choice you could make, if you want to experience something beautiful and unique.
